Against all odds

Established in 2007, San Marcos Grill was launched right at the time of the Great Recession. Businesses were closing left and right. Restaurants that have survived decades of economic ups and downs had to file bankruptcy and many never survived the hard years to come. But with great resolve, fortitude, and perseverance, we stuck it out together.

We believed in what our family could offer to the community and we put in a thousand percent, worked 12-16 hour days, many times every day of the week, to see that the restaurant survived. It did, and it’s not just because of hard work and sacrifice. It’s not just because of delicious and creative cuisine that blows peoples minds. It’s because we built relationships. We connected with each and everyone who walked through our doors. We built a community within a community.

Since the time we opened we have weathered many other storms. But we have not only survived, we have thrived. Our friends and family have grown and our relationships deepened. And this is why, for over a decade, we have been known as the best Mexican restaurant in beautiful Carson City Nevada, and God willing, many more years to come.
